Purrfect Relaxation

After Thanksgiving, we all need to relax. Here is my daughter's cat, Cinnamon, relaxing, getting ready for a nice cozy nap. We all know that cats are purrfect at relaxing. What is their secret?

I love this post on wikiHow, How to Relax Like a Cat. Some of the steps include:

* Be compassionate with yourself (Cats love themselves the way they are.)
* Practice cat yoga (Stretch like a cat!)
* Hide out (Cats like to find a special alone place.)
* Cuddle, hug and nuzzle. (Cats perform these caring rituals regularly.)

Check out the entire article (with adorable photos) here.

How does your cat show you to relax? What about your dog?

love the name cinnamon for that cat...purrfect!!

My cat (like all cats) has an uncanny way of making wherever he sleeps look like the most comfortable place on earth. He just molds his body into wherever he decides to make his "bed"

Our Sheltie on the other hand is a spazz....relax? Not him? He is HYPER....and makes me even more hyper than I already am!

@Caren Yes, I think shelties have a lot of energy, for sure! Kelly is 9 now and loves to relax, except at about midnight she gets playful!

LOL. So true, cats definitely know how to relax! We relax with Gus on the couch after a long walk. When he's tired he's a cuddlebug and we LOVE it!

Oh, gosh. My pets are so lazy! My dog stretches out in front of our fireplace and remains there ALL day unless I get him to go for a walk with me or convince him to play. My cats sleep on the couch ALL day. They do not do much moving around unless I initiate play! They are not stressed at all!
