Walk your dog on Superbowl Sunday

If you're not watching the Superbowl this Sunday, check out Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl.

And, instead of just watching, why not take a break and get outside and walk your dog? Subaru is making that idea even more tempting, with their Game Day Dog Walk Event. Participants who sign up and pledge to walk will be named on Subaru.com and will receive a free doggy MVP pack including Subaru-branded water bowls, flying discs, stuffies, blankets, engraved dog tags and more (while supplies last.) Pledge to walk your dog on game day at Subaru.com/dogs or Facebook.com/SubaruofAmerica.

Now, for a sneak peak! Two new commercials for Subaru, featuring two cute car-driving canines, Olive and Zelda.

(Dramatization! Do not attempt! Always secure your pets!)

According to a press release, two-thirds of Subaru owners are pet parents.

For Americans only, of course. It's a great idea, though. Anything to encourage a little more human-dog interaction. I look forward to the Puppy Bowl every single year!

These commercials are enough to make me re-consider Subaru. Which, I guess, is the point. Good on them!

My dogs love football too much to miss a single play or commercial.

Since I am not a football fan, I'll probably be walking the dog. Since I live in Canada, I don't even get to see the cool commercials so I really don't have an incentive to watch the game.

Well seeing as how we are in the middle of a blizzard that will leave us with about 10 inches of snow on the ground with predicted temps not to get above freezing for at least a week, plus a chance of more snow (but not much) on Super Bowl Sunday, kinda doubt that we will be walking anywhere outside of the house. IF we do, I may be taking Shiloh to the library that day - that is IF we can get there. But if I lived where it was a little warmer - we'd be out walking for sure.

Ty and Buster are BIG Packers fans - so we won't be walking during the game, but we'll walk before and afterward I'm sure. I love the commercials - good for Subaru. They may capture more of the dog-loving market now that Honda has discontinued the Element.
