In the first picture, I would have guessed long coated dachshund. But then I looked at the rest of the pictures and saw she was 35 pounds. Perhaps cocker spaniel? Tibetan spaniel?
Thanks for hosting a fun blog hop.
Wow! Kelly's a tough one! I would agree with Pamela that there's some sort of Spaniel going on in there somewhere though!
Cute idea. We see some lab and possible Irish setter in the first kid. Adorable
Benny & Lily
I'd say Cocker Spaniel for sure, and I think Pamela is right about having some the dachshund.
have no clue what Kelly could be except adorable.
some kind of spaniel i would say, i know she loves water, so maybe retriever as well? those little "cowlicks" on her face are interesting!
p.s. forgot to say thank you for hosting the hop :)
I'm not great at this whole heritage-guessing game thing, but Kelly is a beautiful dog. Lucky Kelly to have a wonderful, loving home.
Thanks for hosting the hop. Will there be code to connect the links to all the blogs?
I have to guess cocker spaniel and dachshund...but maybe a wire hair dachshund? The cowlick is too cute!!
Definitely dachshund from the front, but my first thought on her profile was a clumber spaniel... did I spell that right? She's adorable!
I'm late for the party but I agree Spaniel and long hair Dachshund is my guess. Whatever, they work well.
Well duh...long hair doxie! Hers gots da look and da traits down. They were bred from da Cockers.
What evers her is, her is beautifuls!
Puddles
Hmmm... this one's a challenge. I definitely agree with the spaniel idea. Maybe some Irish setter?
Whatever she is, she's absolutely adorable. :)
@Pamela Her face looks like a long haired dachshund, you're right. Turn her around at any angle and you get something else!
@AJ thanks for guessing. I recently saw a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and thought maybe some of that.
@Benny and Lily Thanks for guessing! Since I was born on St. Patty's Day, Irish Setter is one of my fav breeds!
@3 doxies well you would be the expert on that for sure! I love how you're outspoken...you always make me laugh!
She is such a cutie! When I first saw her I thought she looked a lot like a Tibetan Spaniel. But I am not sure her ears are long enough. Maybe a mix between Tibetan and Cavalier?
Maybe a mix of every spaniel in the world?
This is so much fun!
@Kristine I love that, a mix of every spaniel in the world! We need to come up with a name for that...mega spaniel?
I love seeing everyone's "mystery mutt" but I have an awful time guessing! LOL Kelly's a beautiful dog. I like your idea of "Mega Spaniel" or maybe Super Spaniel! :p
I know it sounds off the wall, but the first thing I thought when I saw the top photo was Afghan because of the flowing hair on her ears and legs. Her forehead made me think Spaniel. She's absolutely beautiful!!
@Paris Not off the wall at all! Her coat is so soft and silky, I've had that thought myself at times. Thanks for thinking she's beautiful!
My first impression was Dachshund all the way, but spaniel may be mixed in there too. Kelly, what a wonderful plume tail you have! And those gorgeous eyes.
I am so glad to have discovered you throught this blog hop.
Yes, Kelly is a beauty for sure. I can't add to any guesses of these far more breed savvy commenters but just wanted to say I'm glad to have you share in the co-hosting. It's such a pleasure to work with you!
Kelly is just so beautiful.
I was gonna say cocker and cavalier but now that I have seen some other people say dachshund, I see that too!
Long hair doxie and some terrier and perhaps Cavalier?
Looking at the ears, Kelly looks a bit like a Cavalier... But the long fur and tail are really confusing for a newbie like me :D
Kelly looks like Rosie, a dog my kids had many years ago. I'd guess she has about 57 different varietys of puppy in her - all cute and adorable!
Hmmmmmm, I see a little Spaniel in there, but I love her little nose. You're so CUTE no matter what breeds you are!
First off, thanks so much for putting this hop together! I can't wait to see all the posts!
You know I love Kelly's long, curly ears and that beautiful shiny coat! My guess would be spaniel and dachshund as well.
Someone shared this link on our post, and I think it looks a lot like Kelly, too! Check out the 2nd photo down, Cheeks. Pekingese/chihuahua may be a stretch, but the ears and the snout/nose look very similar!

I have no idea, but she sure is cute. Beautiful coat! Lovely eyes! I'm a sucker for such a cute doggie face.
Her coat says briard, but the size is wrong. Maybe Springer Spaniel and and Shih Tzu?
I know everyone will think I'm nuts, but I see long-haired Dachshund and Golden Retriever (possibly Cocker Spaniel but that may be because of the grooming style on her legs). The tail has that customary swish look that you see on Goldens. Of course, if I were right I sure would like to know how two dogs like that were able to get together!
@MelF Who knows, right! Funny to think about golden-doxie mix!
You have an awesome blog Peggy. I love it. I'm out the door now, but when I get home I'll be back to read more!!!
Looks like a great tour, Peggy. If PetWise Online wasn't so brand new, I'd have signed up. Hopefully next time. And Kelly is a real cutie!
I see longhaired dachsund and maybe some spaniel, but the beautiful bushy tail reminds me of a golden retriever.
She is absolutely adorable!
Kirby's Mom
Long-haired daschund face, cocker spaniel body... 100% adorable!
I would guess Cocker Spaniel, Golden Retriever, Cavalier Retriever and maybe Border Collie way back in the gene pool. She's beautiful. She looks so much like my dog except for the colour. Mine remains a mystery also except for the Cocker Spaniel part. The mother had 11 puppies and she was a mix of a little or a lot of everything..but she was a beauty. Lots of love, Debbie
Cocker Spaniel and Maybe Poodle!
My guess is long hair dachshund X cocker spaniel.
BTW, spaniels will hunt & retrieve so the retrieving fits :-)
Lovely dog!
Thx for hosting the hop!
I'm intrigued by the golden retriever guesses! I'd never thought of that.
Appreciate your handing out these kinds of very helpful tips. Good job on being an outstanding blogger.
It can be so tough to get the weight off and KEEP it off. Mom and I are longing for the good weather so we can start boot-camping again. 50% excercise, 50% training, 100% hard work! Good for both our butts.
She's so adorable and cute. I'd pick a spaniel.
