I'm sure there will be all sorta of of useful information, such as things you can add to your dogs food that will help will them up but not give lots of extra calories and fat, and I think there will be a section on different things you can do for exercise with your dog as there are some dogs who don't like running and that type of activity or can't because of age. It's a book I'd definitely enjoy reading. I have eight dogs, including three rescues. It sounds like a great read for more ideas and suggestions on keeping my fur kids happy and healthy and love this great basket of goodies...thanks for the chance to win this for my fur kids.

Healthy snacks for both people and dogs!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I am hoping the book has suggestions for healthy snacks - for both my dog and me. I have five dogs, four of who are at healthy weights, but my Kyoko was nearly starved and only weighed 30 pounds at the kill shelter I pulled her from. I worked with her on gaining weight and getting healthy, and at around 57-60 pounds, she was perfect (she's a Treeing Walker Coonhound). However, even though she is no longer starving, she acts like she hasn't eaten in days, even after finishing her food, and will scavenge any food dropped by the other dogs, or anything else she can find. I have let my own weight go up, so I would love to work with Kyoko on an exercise and diet program. This sounds perfect!
