The Tennis Ball

Ike couldn't be a fit dog without the tennis ball.

For Kelly, her pink tennis ball holds this much attraction:

But for Ike, there is nothing more fun than chasing a tennis ball!

  2. Go Ike go! It's funny how different dogs find different activities and toys interesting. Jack and Maggie feel the same about tennis balls as Kelly. But running? They are both superstars at it and love it.

  3. Yes, we don't care enough about balls to get any cardio chasing them. But everyone gets really panting when they have epic long tugs!

It depends. He has to be in the right mood or have other dogs who are into the ball to chase the ball. His favorite are the Chuckit Whistler balls.

  6. That would be my tennis ball obsessed cousin Lena. Katie and I have little or no interest but Lena would run until she drops!

  7. Hehehe...my dog's only interested in a tennis ball if another dog chases it. Only then does it become interesting!! Oh yes, and nearly forgot - not a chaser of tennis balls but more a destroyer. Never ever comes back after being in Scooter's 'Jaws Of Death'

  8. Scooter sounds like Kelly. She peels them and then cracks them open!

  9. Lena and Ike would love playing together!

  10. It's good to have a variety of interests, Hawk.

  12. It sounds like a great time playing no matter what. And, as you say, a great workout.

  13. What? Jack and Maggie don't love tennis balls? Go figure! Well Ike says that's okay, he'd still play with them. And chase after them. Kelly says she'll watch.

  15. That's a happy pup! Rita will only play fetch for a few throws and then she gets bored! It's not much of a workout with her!

  16. Gizmo is a lot like kelly...the ball holds no interest...but i've had dogs like Ike before and they would choose the ball over anything, treats included

  17. The question is... does Ike bring it back? My dogs don't... so I end up doing most of the exercise. LOL

Hey Peggy. I forgot to thank you for the book last time. I haven't finished it yet

By the way, I finally mentioned it here http://www.mydogslove.me/2013/09/a-funny-dog-story-continuation-of.html. Thank you so much and I'm sorry for being 6 months late on posting about it.

  18. Chester and Gretel have never really been into chasing stuff. If Gretel does chase something, she won't go very far for it. I am glad she is not ball obsessed but I do wish she liked to run after a ball in the back yard.
