K9 Kamp - Let's Play Frisbee

Last week I talked about playing chase with your dog. It's just the kind of simple, spontaneous, fun fitness activity that we're stressing this month in K9 Kamp- Fun and Games. Here's another simple activity you can do with your dog--step out for a game of Frisbee! (Or, if you're like me, you can play it inside as well!)

(Aerobie sent us a Dogobie flying disc to review, and one to give away as well. So read on and enter the Rafflecopter below for your chance to win. Good luck!)

I admit, I throw like a girl. In general, the disc doesn't always go where I aim. But, I have to say, the Dogobie was super easy to throw. Which surprised me because it was very lightweight and flexible. But it wasn't so floppy that it was awkward to handle.

The packaging states that the disc makes "long accurate flights" and is from the maker of the Guinness World Record setting Aerobie flying rings and discs! I couldn't test this out, because my back yard is small, but I'm sure when we get the chance to take the Dogobie to an open field, we'll be able to see for ourselves.

It's also durable, resistant to tears and punctures, yet soft and gentle on Kelly and Ike's mouths and teeth. Ike enjoyed chewing on it, although I had to stop him because the packaging also suggested keeping your dog from chewing on it will enable it to last longer. oops!

We're all about fitness activities that you can do together with your dog, and the Dogobie flying disc fits the bill perfectly. It's soft, durable, and fun!

Enter below for your chance to win. And if you don't win one here, you might win one on our K9 Kamp Rafflecopter, so check that out too!

Full Disclosure: I received one Dogobie  to review and one to giveaway from Aerobie. This in no way influenced my review. The opinions here are 100% my own.

  1. Mom used to play Frisbee with her last dog all the time she tells us but we just don't find Frisbee very interesting. I know lots of dogs love them and she plays Frisbee with some of our friends when they visit.

  2. Looks like a pretty cool frisbee. Becca used to love to play fetch and a frisbee was one of her favorite toys to fetch.

Our dogs prefer ball, but they like the Frisbee too. Sheba is really great at leaping to catch it. Cricket looks so cute carrying it in her mouth, because she's little and it's hard for her to keep it from hitting the ground! It's a great activity for them, but unfortunately, with Sheba's arthritis now I don't dare let her do it anymore.

Oh, and meant to say that Sheba loves to chew on it like Ike too!

  5. Hi Y'all!
    That's neat!!!
    Y'all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  6. Looks like it was a really great time! Loved the action shots you got of Kelly and Ike too!

Frisbee is such a great way to get in some outdoor activity or like you said indoor as well!

  7. That looks like a fun frisbee! I have to pass on entering though cuz we just don't have the yard for it. Most of our yard is super steep slope down into canyon, and I'm sure w/ my aim, the frisbee would end up in the canyon! (I LOVE our house, but man, our yard is not good for doggy play!)

Mr. N probably likes nosework best where I hide treats and he has to find them.

  9. We love frisbee! I used to use the Aerobie for humans when playing ultimate frisbee with friends. I'm happy to see they made one for dogs! ;0)

  10. Our favorite thing is hiking...Gizmo just loves being out in the woods...I'd love to try this softer flying disc...The normal ones are too big and hard for him (he doesn't like hard toys) so this might be fun for him
